The Hunt for Recovery

Oregon Recovers' 2020 Hunt for Recovery is October 17th!

While we can't all be together this year for the Walk for Recovery, it's more important than ever for each of us to get outside, celebrate our recovery, and smash the stigma of addiction. Hence, we're organizing the first-ever Hunt for Recovery--an event where you and your closest friends and family get to chart your own walk that “hunts for recovery” in your community.

How it works:

  • Registration is $25.  We also have an option to fundraising your registration!
  • After you register, you can create a fundraising team or join an existing team and work together to meet your fundraising goals. We encourage you to create a team within your "Pandemic Pod" so you can Hunt for Recovery together on October 17th.
  • Create a personal fundraising page that speaks to your passion for recovery and the recovery community.  For more information on how to setup your own page, click here.
  • Set a personal goal of raising $25, $50, $100 or more from your friends and families. We encourage you to share your page across your social media and with all your contacts! All proceeds will go towards Oregon Recovers' efforts to end Oregon’s addiction crisis. Registration includes a very stylish t-shirt!

The day of the Hunt:

  • Tune in at 10am on the morning of Saturday, October 17th, to watch a kick-off broadcast with the Oregon Recovers team (and a special guest!).  We will provide specific instructions for the "hunt".
  • At 10:30, with your  t-shirts and set out to Hunt for Recovery with your team. One person from each team will be responsible for uploading photos to an app as you “find” recovery.
  • Join us at 2pm for a second live broadcast to announce prizes for top fundraisers, participants and teams including limited edition Oregon Recovers swag and gift cards. And maybe catch some live entertainment!

We don't want to give too much away! The targets for the Hunt for Recovery will remain a secret until the morning of the event, but our goal is to have you tell the story of recovery--and the challenges the recovery community faces--in each of Oregon’s cities and counties.
